Privacy Policy

This policy covers the Figure Skating Scoring Calculator — the free calculator and the paid Calculator Pro tier — operated by Astra Stella LLC (Bellevue, Washington, USA). The short version: the calculator has no accounts, no analytics profiles, no advertising, and no tracking cookies. Your work stays in your browser; the only personal data we ever touch is what a Pro purchase requires.

✦1. What Stays on Your Device

Your saved programs, language preference, and license status live in your browser's local storage, on your device only — they are never transmitted to us. Clearing your browser data deletes them.

✦2. What Is Collected When You Buy Pro

• Checkout happens on Stripe's or PayPal's own secure payment pages: they collect your name, email, and payment details. Your card number never reaches our systems. We receive only the transaction confirmation, your email, and subscription status.
• License activation processes your license key, a device name you choose, and a timestamp — stored as metadata on your subscription record inside the payment processor's systems. We keep no customer database of our own.
• Support — if you email us, we receive what you send, and use it only to help you.

✦3. Technical Data

The hosting infrastructure that serves the calculator (Vercel, GitHub Pages) processes standard connection data — IP address and browser type — in server logs to deliver pages and prevent abuse. When served from its production host, anonymous page-speed metrics may be collected to keep the calculator fast. No advertising or cross-site tracking of any kind.

✦4. Who Sees Your Data, and How

Only the providers needed to run the service, always over encrypted (HTTPS/TLS) connections:

• Stripe (privacy policy) and PayPal (privacy statement) — payment processing; you submit checkout data directly to them.
• Vercel / GitHub Pages — hosting and server logs; license requests travel over HTTPS between your browser and our licensing endpoint, which reads and writes only your subscription record at the payment processor.

We never sell, rent, or trade your information, and disclose it beyond these providers only if the law requires it.

✦5. Security

Everything is served over HTTPS/TLS; card data is handled end-to-end by PCI-DSS-certified processors; license records live inside the processors' secured systems; access to those systems is limited to the operator; and the calculator collects the minimum a purchase requires — nothing more.

✦6. Retention and Your Rights

Billing records are retained as long as tax law requires; license activation records last for the life of your subscription. You can request a copy, correction, or deletion of your data (except records we must keep by law) at nathalie@astrastella.net. Deleting license records may end an active license.

The calculator is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. This policy may be updated; the date above reflects the latest revision.
